"UFO Series Home Page" main page testing...

Marc Martin

Hi all,

Being a Mac user & a website owner, I was recently trying some of the
newer alternative browsers now available on the Mac -- iCab & Opera.
I noticed that my main "UFO Series Home Page" didn't look quite right
on both of the new browsers, so I've tweaked it a bit to make it look
as consistent as possible on these plus IE and Netscape 4.x on the
Mac, and IE on the PC. However, I do not know how it looks on
Netscape 4.x or 6.0 on the PC, or Netscape 6.0 on the Mac, so if any
of you are using these or other browsers and my main page now looks
"bad", let me know the details and I'll try to figure something out.

The page to try is: http://ufoseries.com

Thanks!

Also, note that I spruced up the "search" function on this page so it
now lets you choose between "all words", "any words", and "exact
phrase"...

Hi Marc, looks OK to me.

I've uploaded a 50% compressed screencap to
http://www.pipingdesign.com/stuff/ufoseriesn6ie.jpg

1024x768, Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Win98; en-US; m18)
Gecko/20001108 Netscape6/6.0

=======

Also, same screen resolution and image compression for
http://www.pipingdesign.com/stuff/ufoseriesie47.jpg

1024x768, Netscape Communicator 4.76, Windows 98

=======

Atomz is a great search service (easily customized results page,
see mine at www.pipingdesign.com/search1.html).

Whoops, I forgot to say that these are all PC-based, not Mac
(obviously).

In the same directory there is a file called
salmonchantedfisherman.mpeg.

Or maybe it's a .mpg extension.

It's worth a look if you haven't already seen it, you'll laugh
after about the 5 second marc.

Request for help and introduction

In reply to this post by Paul Bowers
Hello,

Im pleased to find this group and the very informative messages I
have read, very excited about the UFO 2 possibilites! I was inspired
by the series and think in some small way it lead to my career, for
good or bad. I recently posted a message on the A&E board to request
that they release UFO on DVD soon. I do not think this post is a
waste as they have good feedback from the network. If you really
want to enjoy this show in a new light, I encourage you to post
replys to my post or post new requests. With requests I think we can
get a quicker response to our desire to see this show released in a
format Im sure you all will be very excited about.
Again Im pleased to see such an intelligent following and informative
sight, glad to meet you all.

Spelling error, "informative site" not "sight" its been a long day
but I do not want my introduction to this sight be laced with
allusions to ignorance, my apologies. I also have a question, I'm
aware of Sci-fi conventions around the USA, do any of the UFO cast
ever appear in the states at such functions?

I see you posted a question about UFO on the A&E board twice, and I
also posted another question, so that makes 3. Since the A&E
representative is very good about answering *all* questions, I don't
think it's necessary to post any more right now... he'll probably
just get annoyed! And I don't think a flood of e-mails is going to
make any difference anyway -- I think that A&E already have their
priorities & plans pretty much in place, and fortunately it appears
that UFO is pretty high on their priorities... although there's no
way it's going to happen during 2001...

It is rare, but Ed Bishop and Michael Billington appeared at a convention
held in LA, California in 1994.
