UFO Soundtrack Soon?

Hello, I'm new here.
Anyone know anything
about a release of UFO's soundtrack
via FANDERSON (perhaps)?
Thanks.

Hi Thomas, welcome to the list!

For the past several years, the only UFO soundtrack you can get is a
fan-produced CD-R based on the session tapes which Barry Gray kept
copies of. It's 72 minutes long, and is pretty good quality. You
can find these on eBay selling for lots of money, or you can get them
for the cost of materials & postage (something like $7) from the
source -- "Harlington Straker Sound Studios". Just send an e-mail
asking for more information to:

As for a Fanderson UFO soundtrack CD, it's not clear what's going on
at this point. I've heard stories that Carlton is not allowing
Fanderson to do any more Barry Gray soundtracks, and I've also heard
stories that Carlton has given their approval for a UFO soundtrack
CD. However, *officially* nothing has been said.
Practically all of the music recorded for UFO still exists, so a very
nice soundtrack *could* be made. In fact, most of the music still
exists in it's multi-track master tape form, so remastered
high-quality stereo versions could be made -- which is the path that
Fanderson would likely take.

Rumor has it that a lot of the music from THE LONG SLEEP has *not*
been found in either Barry Gray's private tapes or on multi-track
master tapes... :-(
