Hi all,
I just read on the Fanderson group that the UFO Technical Manual probably won't be available for purchase until 2008, not April 2007 as indicated on my "what's new" page. This is due to several factors -- the project has been expanded beyond its original scope, the computer graphics work takes a long time, and the work schedules of the two people putting it together are such that they won't be able to get back to it until this summer at the earliest. So much delays and pushing back will probably have consequences in sale
figures. I myself would be happy to have a new UFO book, but I am not sure that everybody will tolerate this kind of professional behaviour: announcing something and then pushing it back indefinitely... It seems that it is a fate of UFO fans to wait for those postponements, e.g. Australian DVD's or Lt. Ellis from Product Enterprise. Speaking of which, did anybody purchase that figure in the end, and what are the impressions? Having put together a couple of RPG books and contributing to another,
collaborative efforts are bound to be delayed. It's just the nature of the beast. You can impose a deadline, but if one element falls apart, then you're scrambling to either fill in the gaps or finding another approach.
