When it comes to Mobiles,Interceptors,Sky One etc every model and drawing I've seen is usually always very good and very accurate.Unfortunately the model saucer (and I've mentioned it before) is always inaccurate.
Your quite right the UFO Saucer on the front of the technical manual is incorrect in a number of ways.
However it is not unusual in this.
