Since some of you were interested I took a look in my local Best Buy today
and saw two sets of the Space 1999 megaset WITH the bonus disc and one set of UFO (Volume 1). The UFO set was hard to find, it had been turned around and the spine with the picture on it was facing into the shelves with the plastic case side (No picture) facing out to the customer. Most of the TV series DVD's were all over the place, my Best Buy I guess doesn't place the discs on the shelves properly? I found Thunderbirds discs all over the place but only the one UFO set and the two Bonus Mega sets. FYI! |

I saw 2 sets in the local Best Buy too, selling for about $51+. I'm kinda disappointed and curious, the packaging looks cheap - basically two transluscent plastic cases with a printed wraparound sheet of paper, and shrink-wrapped in plastic.
Does the A&E or Deep Discount DVD sets come with this cheap packaging too? I thought the DVD 1 set was packaged in some sort of fancy deluxe box or something?? Nelson.Sarmiento |

No matter where you buy them from, they are all packaged the same. Last time I was there, though, it was so crowded, I couldn't even look at them all, but I didn't notice any UFO sets - or Space 1999 either. -- Y -- =+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+=+= Yuchtar zantai-Klaan | [hidden email] I am not a number! However, the British DVD's packaging is not very practical, as the paper surface is not protected by plastic, the glossy surface is prone to fingerprints, and the discs are constantly falling out of their holders (mine do at least). The American DVD packaging may be cheap, but the discs don't fall out, the artwork doesn't get fingerprints on it, and the artwork is not going to wear out as it's protected by plastic. Marc |
