UFO cast in other series: THE CHAMPIONS

Christian J.
Well folks,

I did my homework this weekend and searched my encyclopedies for
actors/actresses from the UFO series (even if they are in guest
roles) who appeared in one of Marc's mentioned series. I put it on
egroups for I think that some of you are interested in it too. It
should be a help for you if you search for episodes with your beloved
actor/actress. I start with THE CHAMPIONS.

First the title, under it the actor/actress and (in brackets) the
role he/she played. For Marc I put the USA release date in this list
(they are from the ITV ENCYLOPEDIA OF ADVENTURES). If you don't know
which character in UFO (for excample) Allan Cuthbertson played, just
ask - or start a quiz :-)

THE CHAMPIONS
w. Stuart Damon (as Craig Sterling)

30 x 60 min.
1968/69
(USA: NBC 11 July - 12 September 1967; Syndicated)

The invisible man
Basil Dignam (Sir Frederick)

The experiment
Alan Cuthbertson (Cranmore)

Happening
Grant Taylor (Winters)

The dark island
Vladek Sheybal (Kellor)

Twelve hours
Mike Pratt (Raven)

The silent enemy
Paul Maxwell (Captain Baxter)

Get me out of here!
Philip Madoc (Angel Martes)

The night people
Adrienne Corri (Mrs Trennick)

Full Circle
Patrick Allen (Westerman)
Gabrielle Drake (Sara)

...to be continued with DANGER MAN :-)

Whooooooo! Dr Quartermaine himself! Didn't know he ever had a series in
the UK. He's a soap star now.

Re The Saint:

ED BISHOP (Shem Inkler) ... HERE HE IS, GIRLS!!

Shem?? SHEM?? <gawk> What the heck kind of name is that? <mumble
grumble> Sounds too much like Shemp ..

Thanks, Christian!!

Well, after I read this again I was wondering why the series
starts in the USA sooner than in the UK. Could it be? So I checked
another encyclopedia and that stated:

US premiere: 10 June 1968

Sounds more likely to me. Obviously the ITV enc. is wrong in this
case.
