Hi All :)
Unusually for me, I found myself with some time on my hands, and was looking/matching UFO locations on Google Earth. I am sure this MUST came up before - I do vaguely remember a few posts. I have found quite a few places: Pinewood Studios, Elstree (Harlington-Straker Film Studios HQ), Black Park, etc. etc. I just wondered if anyone else may have already done all this and had made the locations available? If not, I will carry on until I have them, all, and them make the Google Earth location overlay available to anyone that's interested. Hope you all had a pleasant Easter. Regards, Griff |

I remember that we pinpointed the tree seen when Straker was driving the Model-T in A QUESTION OF PRIORITIES. And certainly, there have been a book or two about UFO shooting locations. But I don't recall anyone putting together a Google map of multiple points of interest. Sounds like a good project! Marc |

Hi Marc,
Yes, now you mention it, it's all coming back to me. I'll search through myarchive and put a list together of the places already covered. I have about 10 places "Google Earth'd" so far, but I'll work on this over the next few days. I haven't used Google Earth enough to know much about sharing places of interest to 'Groups', but I know it's possible as a few of my old companies' have done this, and apparently it's possible to subscribe... I'll start a new thread in the meantime with the places I have so far. Thanks for 'endorsing' this idea - if that's the right word. I have an appalling memory, and I figure if you aren't aware of this happening before, then it can't have done... Note that Fanderson has a page devoted to shooting locations, which might be helpful: http://www.fanderson.org.uk/prodguides/locationguide.html There is also a book "A Guide to Avengerland" by Tony McKay and Chris Bentley, which I have a copy of... it never meant a whole lot to me, since I've never been to these places!
