I agree James CRT screens are better..trouble is they are
expensive for any given size and of course they can take up a lot of room..but at present picture quality is superior.
However Plasma and LCD screens will improve and get cheaper as you say.In the UK a 22in CRT would be the way to go for DVD and HD-DVD.The US already has lots of HD options including 50in CRT Monitor's.
I watch my UFO DVD's on my 19in Monitor all the time and the progressive film like image with all the texture detail is fantastic.As I say roll on UFO in HD-DVD.
