UFO on Prime Time Television!

Hi all,

UFO sighting on FOX TV!

On the 11/4 episode of "Fringe", Walter Bishop is going through
his son Peter's old stuff, which is all stored in...

... a UFO TV series lunchbox!

(probably because the actor who plays Peter, Joshua Jackson,
was supposed to play Paul Foster in the UFO remake movie)

I'm surprised I'm the first person to mention this... although
maybe I'm the only one here watching this series...?

the later, I know about the series, but don’t watch it :)

Did catch the last 30 seconds of a episode once.  I am not sure of series premise, but I recognized the inside of the twin towers before they showed the exterior shot.  They nailed it.

Does anyone know if this is (UFO lunchbox) a real piece of UFO merchandise, or has it been specially made for this program? I have a fairly good knowledge of what was available, and I don't remember this one. It certainly looks authentic.

I had one when I was in grade school, along with a Chitty Chitty Bang Bang lunch box, & Scooby Doo as well. That brought back memories for me when I caught the glimpse of that in Walters hands.

The only problem with "Fringe" is that Peter is too young
to have owned a UFO lunchbox -- these were probably only
sold (new) in 1972-73...

I remember seeing the UFO lunch box in our local supermarket when the series on
on here.  That and the a UFO coloring book.  All of which I consider myself too
old to get at the time.(yes still kicking self) A side from the Viewmaster set
of UFO and the novels I think the only other collectibles out were the Dinky Toy
version of Straker car and the Mobile.

Um, how old is Peter supposed to be? He could have had one if he's in
his early 40s. It was 1985 when young Peter was supposed to die ... hmm,
maybe if he got the lunchbox when he was born? Heh, maybe it was
Walter's lunchbox. I could see that.
