UFO theme variation

SumitonJD
I was watching Big O on the Cartoon Network and heard them use a
variation of the UFO theme music in the episode. This was in Episode 17
Leviathan. It was a slower paced version of the standard theme we know with other
slight differences in it put it was the UFO theme.
I remember in the U. S. version of the UFO novels that it was said
that the merchandising rights for UFO in the U.S. were being handle by Hanna
Barbara. Hanna Barbara was sold to Ted Turner who owned Cartoon Network (and
might still after the take over by AOL Time Warner ) so I wonder if this
someway gave them the rights to use the UFO theme music?

Yes, we discussed this a while back -- I have the soundtrack CD, and
there are several tracks which are obvious ripoffs of the UFO music.
I don't think anyone got permission, though... (?)
