How about one of the UFO's is caught on film, and becomes a topic of that show (can't remember the name of it, sorry), ya know that whow, with the young people, the ones that try to debunk the footage of something, and state the odds of how real it might be. That show.
Anyway, the footage is accepted as being very possibly real. SHADO must intervene.
Unfortunately the obvious visit from the UFO signals the first of many. The aliens are tired of small pick ups of humans and are planning a large scale invasion, in 2012.
