Straker's meeting with the reps takes place in the
UN building
in NYC (CCAOK). They show Straker and Collins in the lift going
up
the gantry in MWCB and their rocket launching. In "Close Up" there
are
several control room scenes at Cape Canaveral. They also show
the rocket
launching the probe in Florida as well. Those scenes are
supposedly in the
US.
I doubt they ever actually filmed anything here.
The UN
building was likely file footage, and the rest just sound
stages
and stage modelling for the rocket launch in UK.
