http://scifi2k.com/anews2187.html, scroll down to 'Oct 30':

UFO May Return: The British based series looks to be reworked for
the US. UFO is being adapted for US Television by Carlton America,
the US -based arm of the UK's Carlton. "Outer Limits" veterans Pen
Densham, Neil Kaplan and John Watson of Trilogy Entertainment are
doing the work.

So what does this actually mean?... That they are going to film a new
series, new episodes with new actors & stuff, or just re-release the old
tapes but remastered and with local accents???...

I've heard so much stuff about re-releasing UFO over the years, that
it's all lost it's meaning....

Well, in this case, I think we can pretty clearly see what
it means -- they're planning on filming new episodes with
new actors. And if it's anything like Trilogy's previous
remakes of THE OUTER LIMITS and THE TWILIGHT ZONE, it
won't be nearly as satisfying as the original series.

Considering those other shows, does this mean that SHADO's base will now be
in Vancouver?

Hey why not? I've written several fanfic stories which take place in Canada!
