Well actually it was the TV screening of Thunderbirds, which was
quite actively promoted by the BBC, that made all the toys
happen - not the DVD. Sadly I don't think there will be any
Interceptors or UFOs in blister packs in the shops ..

Earlier this year there were rumors that the BBC would be
broadcasting UFO again beginning in the fall. So this might
tie-in with some new UFO merchandise releases.

Also, with THUNDERBIRDS about to be shown on "Tech TV" in
America, one wonders if other Gerry Anderson series will
show up on Tech TV as well?

Not heard about BBC showing them again , But the SCI-FI Channel in the UK is
showing them every Sunday at 4pm, has been on for a few weeks noe not sure
how many they are showing.
