Anybody on the list familiar with the PC game
'X-Com' and 'X-Com 2,Terror from the deep'?

Darren,
Yes, I know the game! I played the first one on my previous machines
(Amiga's) and had a great time manipulating the memory so I could
always outwit and outperform the aliens. But it is in no way
reminiscent of anything with UFO's SHADO organisation. In fact if
you look at them, they're very dissimilar. It's just the theme of
earth having to defend itself from aliens again. Surprisingly,
people are not very creative in conjuring up some unconventional new
ways of combatting the aliens. Furthermore, I thought the aliens
acting in x-com were more AND less like the real aliens our planet
faces...
But that's an entirely different matter...

One could only hope,maybe with the CGI effects someone
will come up with a SHADO PC game.
