Just wondering what was the first ep of UFO that everyone saw. For me it was "Exposed" which I happened to come across by chance and I believe was something like the second or third ep of the first season . It was also the only ep I got to see until after UFO had been canceled as I'm the only sci-fi fan in the house.

Well, I did things "right" -- I saw IDENTIFIED first, in September of 1972 (first time the series was shown in my area) Marc |

Destruction. I remember thinking that Straker reminded me a lot of Captain Kirk!

Actually now that I think about it I didn't see "Exposed" until 1973 so it had already or was about to be canceled when it first aired in the states.

That is one of those odd events that happens as I saw the same episode on the same day but here in my home state all the way across the country. And it is made odder by the fact UFO was shown in syndication so not because it was the same network. Was it on at 6PM as here which put it on against Disney?
Remember we also got Exposed second but something different for the third one think it was Flightpath. James K. I believe my first episode was Identified, too, but not until The SciFi
Channel showed the series in the 90's. I don’t remember what episode I first watched. I just remember it was on Ch 9 here in New york, mid afternoon on Sundays, preempted often for baseball.

I saw "Identified" on Saturday, November 24th 1974. at 3:10 PM.
It was followed by "Exposed" next week, and "The Question of Priorities" week after that. It was very late compared to the rest of the world, but I think we saw Space: 1999 sooner than anybody else, starting in March of 1975. (the date is correct, I'm not sure it wasn't shown somewhere else before that date)... "Identified' at 8pm on Wednesday September 16, 1970 on Border TV in the UK and I've been hooked ever since.
As a dedicated Gerry Anderson fan who had watched Four Feather Falls, Super Car, XL5, Stingray, Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and some of Joe90, I knew UFO was premiering that night and made sure I got to see it. I was not disappointed. David [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

The first episode I saw was "Identified". I believe it was September 1972 when it was first shown in the San Francisco area.

Well it seems that The Shado Library had my answer. We had them in order in Canada in September 1970.
Interesting article, they even mention our friend Marc. Enjoy! http://www.shadolibrary.org/actors/tvzone154.shtml Michel Beauchamp §:c) [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] |

My first episode was a repeat of "The Computer Affair" screened on Southern TV on a Saturday morning sometime in 1974.

My first was The Sound of Silence, also on Southern TV, but during the first transmission run around 1971 I think. I know that it was transmitted here before the London area where I lived. I knew of UFO from from the Countdown comic, couldn't wait too see it for the first time. managed to catch this episode whilst on on holiday I think.

Here's the quote on TVZone I'm refering to :
"Marc Martin, creator of the UFO Series Home Page(http://ufoseries.com) recalls that when he first saw the series in 1972 at age 10, "I was mostly interested in the futuristic vehicles and spooky aliens." Today he says, "UFO's main strengths are the special effects, music and its appealing characters. Its weaknesses are the slow pacing of the initial episodes and lack of continuity between episodes."
