Guess you'll have to come back and post them in the photos or files sectionof the group page. As per Yahoo usual policy: "[Non-text portions of this message have been removed]" §:c( --- In [hidden email], KEVIN GOLDSMITH <goldsmith429@...> wrote: > > just thought that you would like to see some pictures of my recently completed costume > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > |

Actually this is NOT yahoo policy.
The list is set up not to allow HTML which strips out rich content like pictures. This is an arcane process that's not necessary anymore. At one time graphics contained viruses. Yahoo now scans for them. The owner of the list would need to decide if they would allow HTML or not on the list. Then it would allow pictures, colors, and more. It not setup that way because of viruses. It was setup that way so subscribers would not get huge attachments that would take forever to download. Those Alien photos were about 5 MB -- I'm sure some people would not be happy to have to wait for them to download. As long as there are people with POP mail clients and not-so-fast connections, I think that's good policy. Also, I think people in digest mode may get those attachments stripped out regardless of how the list is setup (unless that has changed?) Marc |
Also, on groups that do allow photos, non get stored on the yahoo website with the email message, so if anyone wants to view a photo, it is better to give a link, then not have the photo available.

HTML mail is vile and bandwidth-inefficient, so I think it's a sensible policy nonetheless. |
