Due to the wide range of subject matter, size and style of the stories
listed in the SHADO Library, the fact that many authors only have a single
short story, while others have entire series, some stories are the first
forays of a fan into writing fiction and others have been produced by
professional writers as well as the fact that some of the authors write very
sexually oriented stories which are highly objectionable to more sensitive
readers, I feel Mr. Appleyard's suggestion is ill-considered at best.
As the Librarian of the SHADO Library, I feel a popularity poll concerning
the offerings in the Library is out of line.
