eBay winnings...

Hi all,

Recently there was an eBay auction for 4 UFO transparencies in the large
format 2.25" x 2.25" size. I won 2 of these auctions, and here are
scans:

Oddly enough, both of these scans were described on eBay as
"Gabrielle Drake"!

I should note that one of the advantages of the 2.25" transparencies
is the increased resolution over anything else, as these are essentially
straight from the camera that took the picture. For example, here is
a zoom-in of a section of one photo:

That was scanned at 2400dpi.

I saw those and that they were not of Gabrielle. Its been going on for
years where someone has a photo of one of the Moonbase girls and they identify
the photo as being Gabrielle when its actually Dolores or Antonia. I mean the
uniform and wigs and make up do give them a similar sort of look but anyone
who really looks at the faces can pick them tell the difference. Just someone
who bought them to sell not a real fan I guess. Hope you didn't get scalped
to bad on this Marc as when I looked the price was very high!

I think someone could describe a sack of potatoes as Gabrielle Drake
and it would get a lot of attention. It would get mine anyway.

Oops - the row of smileys won't work in SHADO group - sorry! Never
mind...

They are nice HD pictures of Dolores and Antonia, who were, imho, every
bit as glamorous as Gabrielle. I can't really understand the difference
between them, but don't suppose I ever will [;)]

Seriously, I'm always grateful that Marc is willing to pay for these
items AND share them with all of us. Thanks Marc [:)]

try to "clean" the scanned image with Neatimage (is a free program)
very useful after slide scanning. The result will be incredible.
