Tolkien once said:-
> When writing fiction, work from a map and a timetable from the beginning, or
> you will have much trouble getting rid of inconsistencies afterwards.
and the same likely holds for the sizes of vehicles and aircraft etc. So,
before we make a start to UFO 2001 or whatever it is called, work out the side
of a UFO, and of Sky 1 and Skydiver, and whether to put up with the current
size/scale error of Sky 1 or to show Sky 1 as being much smaller compared to
the sub. If Skydiver existed in reality, Sky 1 or any other jet fighter woul;d
be far too flimsy to be used as a sub's nose; it far more likely would be in a
onboard hangar, and perhaps fired from a launch tube. And it would be a more
aerodynamic shape like a missile or an ordinary jet fighter. Missile-shaped
manned planes have existed, e.g. the X-100.
People often say:-
> ... and it follows that ...
But, in my experience, nothing can be 100% guaranteed to follow automatically,
not even the dog when you call it to heel.
