Hi All!
I just bought the book "SF:UK How British Science Fiction changed
the world" by Daniel O'Brien. It contains a lot of (I dare to say:
sometimes rare - like the one of Gerry Anderson) pictures on 160
pages and has our beloved series on 3 pages in the 3rd chapter titled
"Dark side of the Moonbase" with two pictures of the show in it (one
from "Court Martial" with Straker, Freeman and *not* Peter Carlin as
wrongly stated; the other one is the UFO-in-the-wood pic) as well as
"Space: 1999", "Doppelgaenger" and "The Prisoner" e.g. All pictures
are in black & white.
Another chapter has the title "Supermarionation, Superspies and
Car Sickness" and has the a lot of pics from the Supermarionation
shows and the above mentioned Anderson pic (with a lot of remote
controls on his desk) in it and contains also "The Avengers", "Doctor
Who" and other series. Sorry, but I am not able to scan the UFO
related pages. :-( But of course the book contains british SF films
too.
