Hello,

I'm Brian. Nice to meet you all. I've been a big fan of UFO since I was a child. I'm 47 now and remember the series from the early 70s. I think it stands up today just as brilliantly as it did 40 years ago. The DVD boxed setsare beautiful and the quality is stunning!! Nice to see someone kept the negatives in pristine condition. When I lived in Holland 21 years ago I saw every episode of UFO on sale on Super-8 film for 19 Guilders each (about £6). They were all in mint condition at a photographic shop in Amsterdam.I regret not having bought them - they must surely be highly collectable now. Can anyone tell me how much they would be worth these days? I think I'mgonna kick myself when I find out!!!

Two of my favourite epiosodes are A QUESTION OF PRIORITIES and THE PSYCHOBOMBS. I love Susanne Neve and I think Mary Merrall was wonderful as the old blind woman. Lots to discuss if anyone would like to contact me.

Best Wishes,

BRIAN

Hi Brian,

Actually the film wasn't in pristine condition by any means
unfortunately, however it did scrub up very nicely when subjected to
digital restoration (and I think the film was cleaned as well).

One episode in particular, The Responsibility Seat I think, always
looked a bit yellowed and debilitated on the VHS copies and the TV
broadcasts, but the restoration fixed it very nicely.
