There were actually two variation of this gun made. The gun is a close replica of the gun Straker use in the "Exposed" episode to intimidate Foster. The gun is a GREAT UFO collectoble, although it was sold without the UFO packaging and rights. The guns were sold pretty much all over the world. The one I have I payed $150.00 over 10 years, a freind bought it for me at a toy show. I have seen them sale for a much as $350.00. They are very rare. The gun is battery operated and when shoot mades a echo sound of a gun that is very real. If your a UFO collector this gun is a must. I just checked the screen captures of Straker holding the gun in 'Exposed' on Marc Martin's website. I also just watched the episode 'Court Martial', where Straker threatens Miss Grant with the gun. In those 2 episodes, the gun appears identical to me, except that the cylindrical silver dealie on the end of the barrel is somewhat different. And the gun for sale on Ebay looks at best to be similar, but far from being "a close replica". The butt of the grip on the Ebay gun is at an angle, while the butt of the grip on the show prop gun is parallel with the the barrel. The silver dealie on the end of the barrel looks quite different too, with an additional silver piece that makes it look like it screws onto the end of the barrel, which is not on the original prop. And the black portion of the gun looks quite different also, but I don't know enough about guns to accurately describe the differences. Perhaps there are other variations of the gun in other UFO episodes that I have missed. But if not, the gun on Ebay is not 'a close replica', in my opinion. I could live with the fact that it isn't very accurate, if it at least had packaging related to UFO, or I could live with a more accurate reproduction in the generic packaging. But the combo of bad reproduction, and generic packaging doesn't fly with me. It may be a valuable UFO collectible to some, but I guess I'm just too picky. My 2 cents worth...
