You can upload any file to the SHADO "files" area:

http://tv.groups.yahoo.com/group/SHADO/files/

You can also upload any photo to the SHADO "photos" page:

http://tv.ph.groups.yahoo.com/group/SHADO/photos

Note everyone has huge email quotas and high speed access,
so I don't allow attachments to SHADO posts. Also, anyone
who is subscribed via digest mode won't receive any email
attachments anyway, as Yahoo doesn't include attachments
in digests.

Re: Wonderful Series

Tim

The pics I was going to send would
be embedded and appear full size in
the e mail

In the post box they would come in
around 20 k or less

But even if the pics were attached
yahoo give unlimited storage now for free

these worries are really a thing of the past

High Cotton
Sorry, I'm all for stripping images - it's a huge waste of bandwidth.
People who are interested will click a link.

Agreed. Yahoo's policy on storage capacity has nothing to do
with it.

While your attachments may have been small and harmless,
note that if I allow people to send attachments,
then this will allow people to send any size
attachments (1 MB or more).

Also, it would allow viruses to be attached
to emails.

Note that people who are subscribed via digest
mode do not receive attachments no matter what,
so these people would not have received your
attachments. Only those people who get each
mail separately would have received them.

Also, I wouldn't assume that everyone is using
an email account with unlimited storage. I
know that I'm not!

So, again, just put the files somewhere where
they are accessible, and provide a link to
them here. This is the best solution when
you take all factors into account.

New Sylvia Anderson book?

Marc Martin
Administrator
Hi all,

Well, we've past the time when the new Sylvia Anderson
book was supposed to be released. Has anyone seen one
yet? Does it have much UFO content?

Also, can anyone answer definitively what exactly the
differences are between the hardback version and the
limited edition hardback version?

Thanks!
