I don't know, but I do know that there are feedback forums loaded with negative feedback over this change.  Many people are just closing their groups and moving elsewhere -- where exactly is not clear, but GoogleGroups seems to get mentioned a lot.

I am experimenting with a mirror site at Nabble.com, which would keep the group at YahooGroups, but would offer people the ability to see the messages in a non-Facebook interface (and even post from there if they are already members of SHADO on YahooGroups).  See here:

Eventually this forum could be embedded into my UFO series home page.  

Nabble will also let you populate their forums with old messages, which is why I'm looking to see if anyone has a .PST, .MBX, .MBOX, .EML file with FAB-UFO messages from 1994 - 2000 (since I'd like to bring back the complete archive)
