But if you get a lot of 'chatter' as some groups have, it is so frustrating to try to find serious threads amonst the inconsequential 'single word' posts between one or two people that so often occur.

 It doesn't happen much here, but this is preferable to the Facebook style ( which is dreadful!)  It also makes it easier to find specific topics later on!

Whatever happens, I won't be  leaving  this group......!
And there's nothing wrong in liking 'mailing lists ' is there??!!
