I personally really like all of them (with the exception of Man in
a Suitcase which is OK, but not particularly to my taste). None
has much in common with any of the Anderson series. I haven't
seen any of them for years though!

"The Champions' which is about a group of people who are granted
super powers by tibetan monks (or something - sorry, like I said I
haven't seen it for years!!) - they work for some elite
international intelligence organisation. Randall and Hopkirk was
recently remade by the BBC and is about partners in a detective
agency, one of whom is a ghost. Mike Pratt, who was in
Psychobombs (and whose son played bass with Pink Floyd on tour a
few years
ago, trivia fans!) played the non-deceased part. Wanda
Ventham was in the remake a few months ago incidentally.

All of them are essentially detective/crimefighting type shows.
The Persuaders featured Roger Moore and Tony Curtis and I'm sure
most people will be familiar with it. Danger Man featured The
Prisoner's Patrick McGoohan.

I personally always associate Department S with UFO as I think
they were on TV on the same night in the early '70s .. although
maybe only in the North-East of England.. Thursday night? Anyway
it's about a secret government department. I think that one of
the principal characters did the voice for one of the lesser
Captains in Capt Scarlet (Capt Magenta? Not sure). Jason King
was a spin-off from this.

I couldn't really recommend any of them to someone based on liking
UFO, Space 1999 & The Prisoner, but you might like them anyway! If
I had to nominate one, I'd say The Champions.

Cheers
James
