Nonsense. Isn't friendship a relationship? Aren't many people friends with
their dogs, cats, horses...? Now if you were to say one can't have sex with
another species, that may be somewhere in the law. All right, a question of
terminology, but if we're talking about the law, terminology must be
precise....

BTW, isn't there a law in the US that states one can't have contact with an
alien?
Anyway, to get back to the UK (at SOL 1 :-) : depending on the terminology
it could be legal to have whatever contact with an alien. IF it states one
can't do it (whatever this 'it' is :-) with another 'species'. A case can
be made that mankind and the aliens are the same species. Quite a few
sci-fi programmes say we were seeded from another planet, if this cannot be
proven, it cannot be disproved either.
Now if a human were to 'do it' with an alien, and this resulted in a child
being born, it would definitely prove we're the same species. Hence, they
could forget the criminal prosecution.

Anyway, what isn't allowed in real life can easily happen in fiction. I've
matched Straker up with an alien and they ended up having a child. (Don't
ask to read that story, some have, I'm sure, since it was on my site for a
while, but I've since re-written it and there are now no more references to
SHADO or anything too Shadoesque in the story any more)

BTW, over the years I've encountered many people on the Net who claim to
have husbands who are from the Pleiades. Isn't anyone prosecuting them?
