I think Nicholas Cage would be a suitably dark character for a SHADO agent,
possibly as Dr. Jackson?
I can't get Alec Baldwin out of my head as Mr. Conductor in Thomas & the
Magic Railroad.

Alec Baldwin would be great in an Alec Freeman kind of role, I
think .. actually I was surprised to see how old he looks these
days when I saw him on .. oh I've forgotten the name. The late
night chat show with the guy with the 1980s double-breasted
suit. I suppose it IS 10 years or so since Red October, now.
