yeah i guess he is, every show needs a fall guy.I think it all stemmed from
the 1st ep...when he tried to smarm his way round Col Lake.
But what did i know at that age.And also his coiffure wasn't in the same
league as Neds.

You are right of course,and since i have been able to view the series again
i have seen Alec in a new light.As you say,'more human.'I have a lot to
learn grasshopper.
