I doubt very much whether Alec would apply make-up to hide a
rough complexion - not really in character - although it was
certainly applied to George Sewell, for theatrical purposes
only of course. He does have a bumpy complexion but I think
he's kind of grown into it by now .. it helps to give him
that amiable 'lived in' look :)

By the way I had the same mail from Mike Billington that a
few other listers have referred to, in which he refers to the
upcoming ECLECTIC 21 event as "the first time Ed and myself
made a personal appearance together in Europe since U.F.O"
- however I don't think that's true - a friend of mine from
school, who was also a fan of UFO at the time, attended some
event at which MB & Ed Bishop appeared in the seventies.
I remember him telling me about it during a Physics class,
in either my fourth or fifth year at grammar school, probably
1974 or 1975.

Interestingly, my friend was wearing a very loud and
colourful shirt in somewhat dubious taste, and Ed specifically
complimented him on it.
