So do I!! They suit both sexes.

I don't think Nehru collars ever went out of fashion in India;-)

I think they first made their appearance in Western Civilisation (not
meant in a facetious sense) in the '60s thanks to the fusion of the
Beatles and Eastern Culture. The Nehru collar wasn't seen again until
the early '90s when I looked in a clothing catalogue and nearly made a
puddle on the floor. I think, basically, the Nehru design has stayed
with us now. I see Anne Robinson (of The Weakest Link fame) wore a
Nehru-collar jacket in the States to look more intimidating.

Is this the reason Straker wore one??? To look more intimidating???
