Very exciting news about the proposed Region 2 sale of the series on
DVD--let's hope that A & E go ahead with plans to distribute it over
here, for the benefit of those of us who DON'T own an APEX DVD player.

Does anyone know whether the running time of each episode of UFO was
originally set at 50 minutes? I bought 2 of the tapes being sold by
Cinema Classics. The visual and sound quality of the shows is very
good, but I noticed when I was watching one of the shows that it
clocked in at only 46 minutes. I haven't timed the others yet, but it
seems as if the source material for the video was derived from a print
trimmed for US broadcast ten years ago or so (of course now the
standard running time for a US hour show is only 43 minutes--I'm sure
we'll see that cut into very soon as the new contracts get firmed up;
I just hope they don't go lower than 40 minutes of content in an hour
show! Pathetic, isn't it?)

Here's my vote for a 3 CD set for the UFO soundtrack.
