Denise,
probably the writers weren't up to speed on the keeping of back issue
of newspaper. Before microfette newspapers actually kept real copies of back
issues. And in the case of some smaller papers like one we have in the
county where I live they still do of some of the older issues. Found this
out when had to do some research on a persons er... criminal record. You see
people searching for information in the old newspaper back issues a lot in
old movies and I guess this is where the writers got the idea and didn't know
time had past this by.
