I wonder if you are all thinking of the Mail book which does have this in it. SID anounces that it is Marks birthday and they haul out SHADO approaved Non-alcoholic champainge. A real alert from SID prevents them from doing anything else. I will see if I can dig up the book and scan in the page(s) for you.

I suppose it's possible -- there was that alternate version of THE
PRISONER episode "The Chimes of Big Ben", after all, and there was an
extra scene in the SPACE:1999 episode "The Metamorph" which several
people claimed to have seen. Where (what country/network/channel) did
you see this? And did your memory of what happened in the episode
match what was in the script?
