I saw "Flight Path" the other day, and a couple of things about it
bothered me.

First, although we see a UFO has got past SHADO's defences, nobody
seems to mention that there is a UFO on the loose somewhere on
Earth. They only seem to find out of its existence when it attacks
Paul Roper.

Second, there's an odd sequence in this episode - after Straker has
let Roper go with the intention of seeing who the traitor in SHADO
is, he orders Red Alert, and we suddenly get a montage of clips from
previous episodes - which, considering that this is the third episode
made, aren't many. But they don't make sense - we see a SHADO
Transporter deposit some SHADO Mobiles, and said Mobiles on patrol -
but if Starker seems to be expecting an attack, what if the UFO(s) go
elsewhere? Also in this montage of clips, SID mentions "...Have
relocated UFO", but I can't recall the issue of a missing UFO being
mentioned. It seems as if they found out that the episode was under-
running, so this sequence was concocted. Strange, when it sems that
some other scenes were filmed but deleted.
