All of the Polly Products ads in these magazines were in black&white.
Which means that the color photos showed up as black&white in the ads.
And since these are simply the scans of the ads, they are in black&white
as well.

You can tell the black&white photos from the color photos by the codes
shown below the photos -- codes which start with "BU" are black&white
photos, and codes which start with "CU" are color photos.
