Sounds like they were editing for time for more commercial avails. That's what the SciFi channel did with a number of series including Night Stalker, Star Trek, etc. They can sell :15 spots for a good chunk of change. Of course, I always laughed when they started showing "Star Trek" UNEDITED and UNCUT! LOL!
