To each his own. My problem isn't the praise of Meddings abilities, per se, but the statement about his work in "later Anderson series" (inferring Space:1999, etc.). The effects in Space:1999 SUCKED compared to Meddings work, and he shouldn't be credited with doing them by inference. Just my 2 cents...
