FAB, as used in the sixties, was slang for fabulous, wasn't it? F-A-B, as used in Thunderbirds, was claimed to have no meaning by both Gerry & Sylvia Anderson, and was something made up at the last minute for the show. But according to Sylvia Anderson's official website, FAB does indeed stand for fabulous. A bit of a contradiction on Sylvia's part. Apparently there is no definitive answer...(?)
