Remebers it? I have all of the series on DVD and watch it with friends quite a bit. However I think that a remake of the old series would be usless. Instead do an updated version in todays present time and go from there.

I agree, to re-make UFO as we know it just isn't possible, no matter how much we would like to see it done. Largely because no one remembers the old show. At least remembers it enough for it to matter.

So, the best approach would possible be to create a new show with slight references to the old show. Hopefully these references would help bring in and recreate a good fan base from the old show, yet still allowing for new fans to come in without having to know a lot about the first show to know what is going on.

It would be nice if the Shado organization was still in the new show. Updated of course, but still functioning as we know it. Maybe even having a comic type approach sort of like the X-men or Fantastic Four movies, with more of a adult twist. I'm not a big comic fan, but a lot of people respond to those types of movies quite well. What do you think?

Now as for a name. Maybe something that stirs up fear and curiosity. I'm open for suggest.

A good opening episode would be to have the Earth largely taken over by the Alien's by taking over our government leaders. Hence references to the "Reflection in the Water" episode. Then have Shado (which has now had to become a rouge operation because of the Aliens take over) about to release a bio weapon that only kills the Aliens, or so they hope.

It would be good way to introduce new characters while reinstating some of the old ones. There a lot of great possibilities here.

Guess my imagination is getting awayof me here.
