I'll agree that it does sound like they are using a blanket policy
Mark and I guess that is the easiest thing for them to do for groups
touring the studio. It also would put a great deal of responsibility
on the Fanderson organizers to supervise everyone. I would have loved
to have been able to take a few photos of J/K stages, "Harville
Hospital" and even the water tower but, again, I respect that they
(Pinewood studios) must have their reasons for such restrictions. I
am glad that you clarified that you weren't including Fanderson in
your criticism. I also realize that it is difficult, if not
impossible, for some people to attend such events for various reasons
and I don't deny that it would be wonderful if they could see the
pictures of the sites on the studio tour. Perhaps the best thing
would be for one person or organization such as Fanderson to try to
get permission to take photos of these sites and clear them with
Pinewood security and post them. Sounds like a lot of effort though.
Aside from some of the structures, I have to stress that the
excitement of the tour came from actually walking the streets and
being there. A picture of Goldfinger Avenue would be ok but it just
isn't the same.
