In the 1980's the backlot was sold for redevelopment as a housing
estate. Today, there is an industrial park where the soundstages

were, and houses where the backlot was.

Marc, you are supposed to know EVERY possible detail related
to "UFO"! LOL Just kidding. I was hoping someone from the convention
would chime in with the answer.

We were there for the Fanderson convention in 2005 and we walked
around that housing development. A number of the streets were named
with studio related names. I will try to find the information sheet
from that convention and see if it has the answer to the question. I
tried "googling" the hotel and got nothing but Elstree hotel sites
like tripadvisor. I remember reading something from the literature we
received that the hotel we stayed at (and the con was held in) was
refurbished but was the original studio entrance. I'll see if I can
find the literature to verify that.
