Frankly, there's nothing anywhere in the show that indicates definitely where the launch silos are in relation to the base.

It's up to everyone individually to determine there they'd personally like them to be.

After using practical considerations to reconstruct the base on AutoCAD, I've found it preferable to locate the silos some minor distance away from the base, along with a considerably sized underground hangar facility for the other moonmobiles, tracked surface missile launchers, ordnance & fuel stores, etc.

Subject: [SHADO] Interceptor launch craters?

I'm new to the group but a long time UFO fan

Lately I've been re-watching the episodes on DVD

It dawned on me we never see the Interceptor Launch Caters in the same
frame as moonbase - which started me to wondering - where are they -

The art of ufo site shows the moon mobile launch craters at 3 & 9
o'clock - but the screen captures & still photos don't show them - but
no big deal

I always thought the Interceptor Pilots slide down the tubes out of
the dome at 5 o'clock to the launch tubes that would be at 5 o'clock
as well -

but is there any information that indicates where the launch tubes are
in relation to moonbase - again we don't see them in any of the still
photos of moonbase and we never see interceptors or the tubes in the
same frame as moonbase
