Hey Marc,
It's been a while since the Leo Eaton UFO script thing we did...hope
you are well.
Sorry for the delay in responding...I'm working on VFX for 2 movies
and restoring the Steve Canyon TV series as well...and still
struggling to keep my house! Unbelievable...
Okay, I am about to reveal my biggest secret...the one that makes me
look like an absolute research WIZARD to everybody:
I have been using an online archive to do research on Steve Canyon
for the last 3 years...the archive doesn't have EVERY newspaper in
it...but they have about a HUNDRED MILLION searchable newspaper pages
and are adding approx 80,000 pages PER DAY(!) from the year 1759 to
the present...and I have found it to be an indispensable research
tool! It took me MAYBE 10 minutes to gather and type up the info I
posted about Timelash. Good searching skills help, but they try and
make it easy with a search form.
Anyone interested can click on the link below to check it out...if
there is no link, email me and I'll send one direct. Going through my
link does two things...you get the free trial and (I believe) a
reduced rate...and I get a few bucks. If they don't offer the reduced
rate ($39.95 per year I believe) you can call them and ask for that
rate like I did. When I signed up it was about $150 per year
(gulp!)...but I wised up ;)
There is also a link on the sidebar of my Steve Canyon site at:
http://stevecanyondvd.blogspot.comYou can also just go direct to
http://www.newspaperarchive.com if
you wish...
(Probably WAY TOO MUCH information...but you asked!)
Thanks for everything you've done personally Marc to keep UFO
alive...I still feel like a kid whenever I think about UFO!
Gotta scoot,
Bestest,
John Ellis
