I think Scotty put it best when he requested to see the Bridge of the Enterprise, NCC1701, no bloody A,B,C....
The classic designs are always the best, because we are used to it. I never liked ST-TNG's version, just didn't look right.
When I went to the Smithsonian Air-Space museum some years ago, there was only one thing I wanted to see. I asked everyone where it was, kept being told it was over there. I remember this... walking up a stair case getting up 1/2 way and seeing the famous saucer with the NCC-1701 on it :) I took probably a dozen photos from all different angles.
A couple of years ago, when they were auctioning off the items from Star Trek dating back to the original series to the latest movie, they had the items on display out in the open. I thought I died and went to heaven. Took loads of photos. I still shook my head in disgust when I saw the model theyblew up in the search for spock.

Or maybe I'm interpreting it too positively. Would sure like to get abetter look, although chances are good the final design might not be set in stone yet. The agonizing wait for this movie will be the death of me!

That's the only photo... I agree that it is pretty dark, so perhaps
I'm just interpreting it negatively?
