Speaking of actual UFO details-

Has anyone ever seen any preproduction art or early sketches
of the UFO's themselves?

I was always a bit more intrigued by the UFO's themselves
rather then the SHADO hardware. I've always seen Mike Trim art about
the interceptors etc. but never how the UFO designs came to pass.

Have I missed this somewhere?

Yes, although compare that to A QUESTION OF PRIORITIES, when that little
escape pod comes out of the bottom. That pod needs to fit at least one
Alien inside, which I would think would make that particular UFO pretty
large...
