And the Mobiles in turn were constructed on the chassis of a commercially available scale model of a particular  WW2 German tank, right?  Anybody remember which tank?  Should be easy to figure from there, I would guess.  Although I still like the idea of there being different sized UFOs (gotta have a station wagon sized one to take the kids on those weekend jaunts, right?).  ; )

The mobile was designed around a "Tiger Joe" radio controlled toy tank. This was used a lot by Meddings for the larger tracked vehicles in Thunderbirds, Captain Scarlet and Joe 90.
