  I remember this movie. Always on in the mid afternoon; have not seen it for decades! It is good nonsense and passes 90 or so mins. The silliest bit is when the Americans make a prototype version of the Chinese counterpart but after a few goes it breaks down to which someone says "The Laser has burnt out!" ?
