Yup, in fact it was X-rays that gave scientists the first clue of a black hole, Cyxnus X-1.

I figure the aliens had to have artificial gravity and SIF fields if they didn't want to end up as alien flavored toothpaste. (Or dizzy as hell from spinning at SOL 8.)
